Dustin Guillen

Dustin L. Guillen age 35 of Hibbing passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home. He was born in Hibbing to Sam and Christine (Wauzynski) Guillen on April 26, 1989. Dustin attended Hibbing High School. Following his schooling he began working with his father roofing and landscaping in Virginia, MN. Before he really got into construction he worked at Kids Peace in Buhl, MN, he loved directing younger kids. After it was shut down, he joined the Union 1097 Local Laborers, he loved being a blue-collar man, in his words a cowboy. He was fearless with a heart full of gold, all he ever wanted was his family to be with peace and not stressed, he got his baby brother into the Union, as well in his words “I'm a blue-collar cowboy that loves to have a cold beer after work”. Dustin was super smart, intelligent, clever, hard-working teddy bear, loving, amazing father, great brother, incredible and wonderful uncle. He will be missed by many. Dustin worked construction and spent a couple months working Inland Oil Rigging in Midland, TX. For the last 7 years he was a member of the Local Laborers Union 1097. Dustin enjoyed gaming, fishing, camping and especially spending time with his daughters. He collected horror movie figurines and art. Dustin was a good-hearted person who always had a smile on his face, he was always willing to help anyone in need. Dustin is survived by his daughters, Lorena Guillen and Arianna Bartkowicz, father, Sam, brothers, Travis, Dylan and Austin Guillen, nephew, Xavier, close friends, Calvin Hamel, Carlon Goines, Dana Laitana and Jeff Eddy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Guillen and sister Cassandra Guillen. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 29, 2024, at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be from 11:30 until the beginning of the service at 1:00.
