Dorothy Eilertson Loo, 63, Hibbing died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Guardian Angels in Hibbing.  She was born in Hallock, MN to Vincent and Inyce Eilertson, on December 16, 1947. Dorothy  graduated from Chisholm High School in 1966 and from the Hibbing Junior College in 1968.  She had been a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Chisholm and later at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing being active in both Churches as a Religious Education Teacher.  While living in Minneapolis she was the Secretary for the Dean at the University of Minnesota.  Dorothy was a member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter DE but her most important job was that of devoted mother.
She is survived by her life companion and best friend, Mike Vendetti, Hibbing, children, Dana (Jim) Schwieters, Lakeville, MN, Christopher Loo, Anoka, and Jason (Ashlie) Loo, Charlotte, NC, two grandchildren, Megan and Jakob Schwieters, her aunt, Gladys Tanem,Hibbing, and numerous cousins.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in First Lutheran Church in Hibbing with the Rev. John Dietz officiating.  Visitation will be in Church Wednesday starting at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be, Jim Schwieters,  Paul Vendetti, Steve Raukar, Walter Stock, Don Martella, and John Berklich Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Loyal and Mark Tanem.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
