Donald Floyd Wohlwend, 87, of Goodland, MN, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2024. He was born in St. Paul, MN, on March 20, 1936, to Albert and Rose (Norris) Wohlwend. Don was an exceptionally hard worker as he started at a young age helping provide for his family and eventually owned two of his own businesses. He married Phyllis Line in 1969 and they were together for 54 years. Early on, Don worked in concrete and masonry and eventually became a master craftsman, designing and building beautiful oak furniture. He was a spiritual man as his faith was of utmost importance as he was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Don lived by example and passed his strong faith on to his family. He enjoyed spending time fishing, golfing and especially reading as he had his very own library. Don loved his large family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Wohlwend, children Mark (Julie) Wohlwend, Lisa Heikkila, Libby (Casey) Tijerina, Scott Wohlwend, Wade (Debbie) Wohlwend, Pamela (Larry) Maki, Larry Taylor, Terri Anderson and Kelly Taylor, Nineteen grandchildren, Twenty Three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, siblings William, Dorothy, Virginia, Albert and Doris and sons Curt Wohlwend and Dale Taylor.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing, MN.
Visitation will take place one hour prior at 10:00am with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 10:30am.
Interment will take place at the Goodland Cemetery following reception in the St. Leo's Hall at Blessed Sacrament.
