Debra “Debbie” Jean Baudeck, 57, Hibbing, died Dec. 29, 2011 at her lake home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Hibbing to Richard Charles and Norma Jean (Bliss) Baudeck. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1974 and continued her education at the Hibbing Community College. Debbie was employed with many personally owned and family run businesses.
She was a loving mother, mother in law, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, picking agates and spending time with family and friends, especially her two granddaughters Shayna and Phylesha. They were the apple of her eye and the girls loved being at Gramma Debbie’s house. She gave the world and all her love to them. She was also an animal lover, making a happy home for her pets.
She is preceded in death by her brother Bruce Christopher Baudeck on Sept. 1, 1972 and her mother Norma Jean on Nov. 10, 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Brandy Michelle Perpich (Bryan) Preston of Cotton, MN, a son Richard Timothy Baudeck of Cotton, granddaughters; Shayna and Phylesha Preston of Cotton, her father Richard Charles Baudeck of Hibbing, brother, Rev. Gregory (Pam) Baudeck of Grand Rapids, MN, sisters; Brenda (Chuck) Gargano of Hibbing, Dawn Bell of Hibbing, nieces Janine (Bryan) Terzich, Sonja (Brandon) Hanson, nephews; Randy and Gabe Baudeck, Jamie (April) Perell, Jake Gargano, Jamie, Chris and Jeff Bell, great nieces and nephews, Andrew Westrem, Anna and Ayva Terzich, Mason Perell, Ashleigh and Amelia Hanson and Deb’s cat Alex. Debbie will be sadly missed by her family and friends and she will be thought about every second of every day.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, with a visitation starting at 10. Private family burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Bryan Preston, Chuck Gargano, Bryan Terzich, Jamie Perell, Randy Baudeck and Jamie Bell
