Dean Leslie Wilen
Dean L. Wilen, 57, Hibbing, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at the University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing.   He was born on May 11, 1954, in Minneapolis to Theodore and Barbara (Robinson) Wilen.  Dean graduated from Coon Rapids High School, Hibbing Community College, and Hibbing Technical College.  He was a founder of Midwest Computer Depot, was owner and operator of Northern Waterproofing and Boss Construction, and had worked as a reservations specialist for Northwest Airlines.  Dean served as the Minnesota Representative for Celebrate Recovery, was the Ministry Leader of the Celebrate Recovery program at Open Door Church for 3 years and was an active member of Open Door Church.  For most of his life Dean was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Carrie Luoma of Chisholm, MN, Deann (Chris) Kazungu of Bloomington, MN, and Lisa (Eric) Torgerson of Hibbing; 2 sons, Jayson Gregorich and Theodore (Kelly) Wilen, both of Hibbing; 11 grandchildren:  Sean, Sierra, Alex, Arica, Trevor, Tyler, Shanna, Sophie, Allison, Elijah, and Aidan; a great-grandchild, Matthew; 3 sisters, Corinne (John) Fredrickson of Hibbing, and Yvonne (Brett) Rossi and Dawn Kangas, both of Chisholm; a brother, Todd (Pollie) Wilen of Buhl, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Dean are at 11:00am, Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Open Door Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Tim Rice will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday.  A spring interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
