David John Zidarich, 65, of Kitzville, MN, passed away on May 9, 2023 at the Hibbing Hospital. David was born on December 25, 1957 to Frank and Joyce (Croteau) Zidarich in Hibbing, MN. He grew up in Kitzville with his large family and went on to graduate high school from the Faribault School for the Deaf in 1976. David worked for a while as a custodian at the Kahler Hotel in Hibbing and eventually got on with Hibbing Electronics where he began his career. He worked in production and assembly there for over twenty years. David loved all Minnesota sports teams and was a super fan no matter what team or sport. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and spending summer days and Fourth of July out on Hartley Lake. He was a happy go lucky guy, usually with a grin on his face and liked to pull the occasional prank on different family members. David was an animal lover especially with his dogs. Above all, David was a fighter all the way to the end. He will be missed.
Dave is survived by his mother, Joyce, and siblings: Sharon Lind, Joy (Rick) Motter, June (Mike) Marsyla, Donna (Rusty) Willberg, Gregory Zidarich, Michael (Ella) Zidarich, Jeffrey (Juliann Rich) Zidarich and Bruce (Pam) Zidarich, goddaughter, Kaylee Loisel and three generations of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Jr and siblings: Lola Hughes, Frank Joseph Zidarich and Brother-in-law, Tom Lind.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing on Thursday, June 29th, 2023. Visitation will take place an hour before the service starting at 10AM. Interment at Maple Hill Cemetery following the service. A signer will be at the memorial for interpretation.
