Darlene Ann (Parker) Cook

Darlene Parker Cook, 88, of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Guardian Angels in Hibbing. She was born on April 14, 1935, to Len and Orpha (Gray) Parker in Hibbing. Darlene was a caretaker for the Center of Independent Living and helped many through her work. She was also very involved with the Grace Lutheran Church as she volunteered and was a member of the care ministry team. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and singing with her choir or in the car. She also liked to sew and loved to dance her feet off! Above all, as she said, her most valuable possessions were her children.
Darlene is survived by her children Renne (Randy) Adams, Myron (Gladys) Koskela, Merlyn (Noel) Koskela and Bill (Kathy) Cook, many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Martin W. Koskela and sister Vivian Nenovich.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30PM on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Pastor Tim Yearyean will officiate. Visitation will be held a half hour prior to the service starting at 1:00PM. Reception will be at church following the service and interment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing at a later date.
