Clara A. Bugliosi

Clara A. Bugliosi, 92, lifelong resident of Hibbing passed away peacefully after a brief stay at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitaton Center in Hibbing.  She was born at her home in Boeing Location on July 9, 1926 to Alipio and Rose (Maracchini) Panichi.  She had a wonderful childhood in North Hibbing and after her family moved to their beautiful home near Frank Hibbing Park, she graduated from Hibbing High School.  Clara married Rano Bugliosi on May 28, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and together they raised their three children.  She worked at Huffer Drug both as a young adult and again later when her children were older.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  Over the years, she enjoyed curling, ceramic, reunions with her high school girlfriends known as Club 13, visiting with her longtime neighbors and friends Rose and Eleanor, and sharing her baked goods with family and friends.  She was a devoted wife and mother, and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her sons: David (Carol) Bugliosi, Pengilly, MN, and Jerry (Nancy) Bugliosi, Grand Forks, ND;  her daughter, Susan (Tom) Schleppegrell, Hibbing; nine grandchildren:  Joe (Natalie), Annie (Joel), Jeff, Tony (Julie), Pat (Alyssa), Jeanie (Matt), Andrea (Ryan), Emily (Josh), and Leah (Bryan); fifteen great-grandchildren and one more on the way; her brother, Peter Panichi; her sister Roseann Rutar; her sisters-in-law; Joanne Bugliosi and Betty Bugliosi, all of Hibbing; a special nephew, Joe Panichi Jr., Buyck, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rano, parents, brother Joe Panichi, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Clara will be 12:00 pm, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the noon funeral Mass at the church on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Side Lake Chapel, or Assumption Catholic School.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
