Christopher E. Hanson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher Edward Hanson, who departed this life on October 19, 2026, at the age of 52, in Hibbing, MN.

Christopher was born on March 27, 1974, to Edward and Joyce (Nepstad) Hanson. He grew up in Nashwauk, MN, and attended Nashwauk Keewatin Schools. Christopher was a proud father of AnnaBelle Hanson, and she was his greatest joy. He was a very talented musician and was a member of a Rock Group. Christopher was one of a kind. We will miss him until we reunite one day.

Christopher personality brought warmth and joy to anyone he encountered. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of comfort to whoever needed it.

His passing will be mourned by everyone who knew and loved him.

Christopher is survived by his sister, Jennifer (Adam) Castle; a nephew, Ashton Castle; two nieces, Adyson and Alivia Castle; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; and Mary Lynn DeGreene, a dear family friend who was like an aunt to Christopher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Edward Hanson, and nephew, Adam Jr.

There will be a Celebration of life on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 1 pm at Beezy’s in Nashwauk, MN. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those honored to have known him.
