Charlotte Rose Pecchia

Charlotte Rose Pecchia, 5 months, passed away in her parents arms, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.  She was born December 26, 2018 to Michael and Racheal (Rantala) Pecchia in Minneapolis, MN.  A note from Mother:

My dear Charlotte Rose,

I cannot believe you aren't here with us any longer. It all seems so surreal. Since you came into this world five months ago, you have been a fighter. You bravely fought your CHD like the warrior princess you were. Over the course of these five glorious and agonizing months, you have taught us all how to put on a brave face and march forward fancy pinkie and all. At times during your life you were very spicy with attitude and you knew what you needed and wanted, no one could do anything else without that wicked side eye. We were all taught what Charlotte time was, daily. You were beating the odds some days and other days, you rested. You taught us patience, bravery, peace, kindness and what true strength is. So many wonderfully amazing things have come from you just by being your beautiful feisty self. We have met some extraordinary people, helped other heart mom's hold their heads up, helped another mother continue to give her baby only breastmilk by donating what you didn't need, you gave others hope and hundreds of people we did not know came together to pray for you. We are blessed to have had you with us to teach us and give us these things. Life continues to move forward. With our hearts heavy and shattered we raise our fancy pinkies high and move onward. You are dearly missed. Rest well in our hearts as we all heal.

Charlotte is survived by her parents, Michael and Racheal Pecchia, two siblings, Aiden and Aspen Wick, all of Hibbing, her paternal grandparents, David (Karen) Pecchia, Hibbing, maternal grandparents, Richard (Lori) Rantala, Palo, MN, and grandfather, Sonny Wiele, Lutsen, MN, her aunts and uncles, Will Pecchia, Maple Grove, MN, Tony Pecchia, Hibbing, MN, Jaime Sharp, Minneapolis, MN, Jacob (Mindy Salmon) Wiele, Lutsen, MN, Jenna Wiele, Braham, MN, Andrew Rantala, Palo, MN, Rebekah Rantala, Palo, MN, an un-named uncle, and many cousins.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  Steve Tomberlin will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
