Charles “Chuck” Edwin Rootes died June 23, 2024 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Chuck was born March 27, 1941 to Roy and Doris Eychaner Rootes in a tar paper shack near Effie, MN. In 1960, he enlisted in the Air Force and served at Malmstrom Air Force base in Great Falls, MT. It was here that he met Margaret “Mimi” they were married on July 28th 1962. After leaving military service, they moved to Minnesota and Chuck worked at several iron mines, however his focus was on helping others to learn about the Bible. He wanted to help everyone learn about the hope for the future that he looked forward to, his example helped many. In fact his door was always open to anyone who wanted to stay. He also enjoyed traveling in the motorhome, hunting, fishing, camping, singing and dancing with Mimi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Doris and grandchildren Cameron and Chloe Rootes. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children, Melissa (Kevin) Harlander, Amelia (Michael) Anderson, Maurice (Melody) Rootes, and Alexander (Stephanie) Rootes, his grandchildren, Dustin, Jade, Jonathan and Jacob Harlander; Beau and Kiah Blaine; Kiana and Nathan Rootes and many other family and friends. There will be a funeral service at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 866 Meadow Dr Hibbing MN 55746 on July 13th at 3:00pm.
