Casey S. Swart

Casey Stephen Swart, 36, of Hibbing, MN, passed away at home on March 17, 2024.  He was born in Hibbing on April 17, 1987 to Lee Swart and Darlene Werth.  Casey attended school in Hibbing and early on enjoyed lawn mower and BMX racing.  He had a love for cooking that started when he was young and it carried over to his days cooking at the Iron Kettle in Chisholm until closing.  Casey put together ingredients with food that would make your mouth water.  He loved old cars, going to car shows and the races.  Casey was a big Dale Earnhardt fan for many years and collected memorabilia.  Recently, Casey spent a year in Florida by the ocean and absolutely loved it before returning back to Minnesota.  Nothing could surpass the love for his children.  He would brag to anyone and everyone of how proud he was of them.
Casey is survived by his mother Darlene (Alan)  Nickila, father Lee Swart, brother Jesse Swart, paternal grandmother Geraldine (Harold) Himle, half brother JC Swart, children Dallas, Dakota, Gage and Gabriella Swart, Ashton and Avery,  nephew Joel "JR" Swart and very special friend, Stevie Pelkey, whom he held dear to his heart.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Maureen S. Garrity.
A celebration of life for Casey will be held at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
