Arlis Mary Coughlin
Arlis Mary Coughlin, 85, Nashwauk, died Friday December 9, 2011, in her home. She was born in Port Arthur, WI on May 17, 1926, to Henry and Maria Radloff. She was raised in Port Arthur and Superior by her father and step-mother, Henry and Hazel Radloff. Arlis was united in marriage to Terrance Coughlin in Houghton, MI and they lived mainly in Cooley Location and North of Nashwauk. Arlis was a graduate of St. Luke’s Nurse’s Training Program in Duluth and had worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years in the OB Ward of Hibbing General Hospital. She was a member of the Nashwauk VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Hanna Retirees Club and her Birthday Club.
She is survived by 4 sons: Thom (Jane) Coughlin of Cincinnati, OH, Martin (Cindy) Coughlin of Woodbury, MN, Patrick (Lucy) Coughlin of Nashwauk, and Peter (Cindy) Coughlin of Farmington, MN; 8 grandchildren: Errick (Michelle) Coughlin, James (Cindy) Coughlin, Natalie Coughlin, Robert Coughlin, Daniel Coughlin, Brian Coughlin, Sean Coughlin, and Kaylee Coughlin; 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, her parents, a sister, Natalie Luckenbill, and a brother, Bill Radloff.
Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2011, in Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service. Interment will be in Nashwauk Cemetery at a later date.
