Arlis Carlstrom

Arlis Carlstrom, age 70, of Hibbing, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019. Arlis was born to James Alfred and Clara Helena (Aho) Highland on October 26, 1948 in Biwabik, MN. Before becoming a 40-year resident of Hibbing Arlis lived in the Two Harbors/Brimson area. She was a former member of the Hibbing Curling Club, Loon Country Quilters in Hibbing, the Harley Owners Group (HOG) out of Eveleth and the Bocci Ball Club in Hibbing, where she served as the secretary. Arlis was an avid genealogist, enjoyed gardening, quilting and her dogs, Emma and Fergus. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara, stepfather, Frank Carlson, husband, Roger Carlstrom, son Lance Carlstrom and her brother, Dale Highland. Arlis is survived by her, children, Erica Carlstrom, Eugene, OR, Jim (Kim) Carlstrom, Grand Rapids, MN, Erin (Dave Kieth) Aylesworth, Grand Rapids, MN, grandchildren, Trevor, Bella, Cooper and Lindi, brother, Lyle (Laurie) Highland, Henderson, MN. Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, July 8, 2019 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
