Arlene M. Bernu

Arlene M. Bernu, 88, longtime resident of Bovey, MN died Friday, April 10, 2020 at home with her family by her side.  She was born August 4, 1931 to Fred and Edna (Breitenfeldt) Schmidt in Perham, MN.  A homemaker by trade, Arlene enjoyed her flower gardens, going to casinos, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Mike) Stolley, Bovey, MN, two grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 7 sisters, 3 brothers, her daughter-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Bernu, husband, Donald Bernu, brother, Darrol Schmidt, and her parents, Fred and Edna.

Per Arlene’s request, there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
