Amy Jo Stehlin

Amy Stehlin (nee’ Carlson), age 57, died peacefully Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home in Hibbing, MN.  Born February 24, 1967, in Hibbing, she was the youngest child of six to Harold and Elaine Carlson.  Amy spent her childhood enjoying lake life on the south end of Swan Lake (Pengilly).  She graduated from Nashwauk-Keewatin High School in 1985.  Amy married Dennis Stehlin on September 20, 2003.  They were together for 20 plus years.  Amy enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, being a rockhound, car races, star gazing, crafting, and animals.  She was a HUGE fan of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and heaven forbid you called or visited her during a game.  Amy had a huge smile and liked nothing better than a good laugh, her enthusiasm was contagious.  

            She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Hibbing, brother, David (Becky) Carlson, Corcoran, MN, sisters, Darlene (Steve) Skow, Coon Rapids, MN, Debbie Carlson, Grand Rapids, MN, Mary (Paul) Vukodinovich, Hibbing, MN, and Rita Seeba, of Grand Rapids, MN, nephews, and nieces, Tammie (Joe) Kyes, Champlin, MN, Brent (Lisa) Carlson, Champlin, MN, Corey Skow, Coon Rapids, MN, Jesse (Michelle) Skow, Coon Rapids, MN, Jeffrey (Megan) Vukodinovich, Niceville, FL, Jennifer (George Hall) Vukodinovich, Las Vegas, NV, great-nephews, Tyler Kyes, Sam Kyes, Dominic Schmidt, and Rock Skow, great-niece, Dannika Hall, along with her in-laws, Mike and Joann Stehlin, Hibbing, sister-in-law, Sue (Scott) Gerval, Circle Pines, MN, nephews, Jake and Josh Gerval.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew, Toby Skow and brother-in-law, Jim Seeba.

Funeral services for Amy will be 12:30 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Dougherty funeral home of Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Daniel Weiske will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the 12:30 memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
