Richard Elliot ”Hacker” Hecimovich
Richard E. “Hacker” Hecimovich, 64, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at U of M Medical Center-East Bank in Minneapolis, MN. He was born on May 26, 1954 to Joe and Lois (Eck) Hecimovich in Hibbing. Richard attended Hibbing schools and graduated from Hibbing High School. He later was employed with S B S Blacktop Service for over 30 years. He loved hanging out with his friends and family, BBQ, cooking, and especially loved spending time at the Rajkovich Cabin, deer hunting, and just being outdoors. Richard was the type of person to always lend a helping hand to just about anyone who asked.
He is survived by his son, Richard Loff, Grand Rapids, MN, sister, Lindy (Larry) Blankenship, Dallas, TX, special friend, Debra Loff, Hibbing, MN, nieces and nephews, Johnny (Stacy) Janisse, Chipper Janisse, and Dianna Blankenship, and dear friends, Dave Rajkovich, and Patrick (Sharon) Brownell, both of Hibbing. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Larry Wayne Blankenship Jr.
A celebration of Hacker’s life will be 11:00am, Friday, July 20, 2018 at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Andrew Petter will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
