Mercedes “Marcie” E. (Wehrenberg) Kinney
Marcie Wehrenberg Kinney, 79, Hibbing, went to her eternal home Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 in the Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing. She was born Feb. 11, 1939 in Underwood, MN to Lester and Ellen Davis. Marcie worked as an inspector for Northern Castings for over twenty years. Following her retirement Marcie did extensive volunteer work at the Hull Rust Mine View, the Tourist Center Senior Citizens, her prison ministry, at RSVP and at the Greyhound Bus Museum. In her free time she loved spending time with her family and maintaining her home, which included her garden, especially the African violets she grew. She also loved the birds she cared for, both in her home and in the yard and knitting.
She is survived by her children Mark (Sandy) Wehrenberg of Hibbing, MN, Kevin (Brenda) Wehrenberg of Cherry, MN and Diane Jacobson of Cherry, MN, her stepchildren: Karen Anderson, Lynn Anderson, Rita (Richard) Skraba, Margaret (Edward) Pospeck, Shelley Greenwood, Brenda (Michael) Jankowski and Howard Kinney, brothers: Marion and Edward (Juanita) Davis, her grandchildren: Autumn Wehrenberg, Abijah Wehrenberg, Benjamin Wehrenberg, Jessica (Josh Nelson) Laine, Brandon (Doris) Wehrenberg, Aaron (April Viburg) Wehrenberg, Amanda Jacobson and Andrew (Amie Reamer) Jacobson and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Walter Wehrenberg, Raymond Anderson and Arthur Kinney, her parents, a great grandson Matthew Wehrenberg and her brothers: Harley and Allen Davis.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Salvation Army on Thursday Aug. 23, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Cherry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greyhound Bus Museum.
