- About Us
Frank Angelo Infelise, 85, died on September 26, 2018 at Chris Jensen in Duluth.
He was born in Kinney, Minnesota, to Domenica and Angelo Infelise on May 30,
1933 in the early days of the Great Depression. He graduated from Hibbing High
School in 1951 and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Frank studied at
St. Cloud State University where he earned his B.A. degree.
Jeanadair Rolle and Frank Infelise married in 1956 after which Frank had a long and
successful career teaching High School English in the Nashwauk-Keewatin schools.
He spent many summers working for the railroad carrying on the rich traditions,
which had brought his father to America. Gardening and cooking were Frank’s twin
passions, inherited from his Italian parents. His family remembers savoring his
version of his mother’s homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs. The abundance of
his vegetable gardens provided gifts for family and friends every fall for many years.
Frank also loved to hunt, fish and do wood working. Throughout most of his life, he
cherished his times with family and friends.
Frank was a gentle, spiritual, and generous man who graciously endured a
progressively debilitating disease over the course of many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Mark) Weber of Duluth, Alison (John) Eaton
of Hibbing, and son John (Adriana) Infelise of Rancho Cordova, CA; sisters Joan
(Robert) Murray and Judy (Greg) Bonovetz; brother-in-law Ken Schoen;
grandchildren, Anna (Adam) Johnson, Sam Weber, Joe Vuicich, Arley, Kimberly and
Gabriela Infelise; great granddaughter, Adeline Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his sister, Concetta Schoen.
The Infelise family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Chris
Jensen Health Center.
