Devin James Eskeli, 20, Hibbing passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 18, 2018. Devin was a lifelong resident of Hibbing and a true Iron Ranger. He went to Hibbing High School where he played soccer, basketball and drums in the Hibbing High School band as well as running for the track team. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where he was an altar server during his youth. Devin attended UMD for one year before coming home to Hibbing and enrolling in Hibbing Community College. Known for his sharp, witty sense of humor Devin always had a quick comeback. He loved deer hunting, fishing, four wheeling and most of all basketball. He had a positive, energetic outlook on life, his smile and laughs were contagious. He truly loved his family and he was loved by all he met. Survived by his parents Jeremy and Christine Hendrickson, siblings, Ryan Willard and Paige Hendrickson, grandparents, Julie Eskeli, Dennis and Paulette Eskeli, Milton and Kathy Hendrickson, great grandmother, Shirley Samson, aunts and uncles, Eric (Shanna) Eskeli, Denise (Kris) Clusiau, Darryl Eskeli, Elayna (Aaron) Bevacqua, Jason and Brandy Hendrickson, numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, Ethan, Finn and Hattie Eskeli, Cecilia, Lexi and Claire Clusiau, Ellie and baby to be Bevacqua and Dylan Hendrickson.Devin is also survived by the Brandon Hunt family. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jesse Hendrickson, great-grandparents, Aggie and Francis Nash, Kenneth Samson, Toots and Arvo Eskeli and Shapoo, his beloved dog. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 24 at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 23 at Dougherty Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at church. The Reverend Father Gabriel Waweru will officiate. Interment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing.
